On 21 March 1981, our founders, Mr. Lee Thian Sung and Mr. Tai Chin Leng, incorporated Sri Selatan Auto dan Kejuruteraan Sdn. Bhd., a supplier of new truck and lorry spare parts based in Johor, Malaysia.
As the business grew, the founders recognized a shortage of genuine used Japanese truck and lorry spare parts in the local market. To better serve their customers and meet this growing demand, they expanded into the used spare parts industry through the establishment of S.S. Automotive Sdn. Bhd.
Shortly thereafter, S.S. Automotive Sdn. Bhd. began sourcing used trucks, lorries, trailers, buses, and vans directly from Japan for dismantling and spare parts distribution. Through years of close collaboration with trusted Japanese suppliers, the company built strong business relationships that continue to enable us to provide high-quality genuine parts at competitive prices.
As demand for quality used Japanese car spare parts increased, the founders identified another opportunity to better serve their customers. Touji Parts Sdn. Bhd. was subsequently incorporated and named in honor of the Managing Director of one of our long-standing Japanese partners, reflecting the strong relationship and mutual trust developed over many years of cooperation.
By 2005, growing demand for our products had exceeded the capacity of our retail premises in Taman Mount Austin. To support continued growth and maintain a comprehensive inventory, the group acquired a factory facility in Taman Perindustrian Cemerlang with a land area of approximately 8,105 square meters (87,200 square feet). Today, this facility serves as a key operational hub while supporting our ongoing commitment to providing customers with quality products and efficient service.
